:: Security

Our Service meets high standards of security with strong data encryption and User authentication to ensure confidentiality and security for our customers. All our security procedures however, have to be followed and all necessary measures should be taken by our customers to safeguard their login information.

The unique Subscriber ID and Security Password together with the Business ID are always necessary to access the Service. First time users are forced to change both Security Password and Authorisation PIN provided by the Bank for security purposes.

The Authorisation PIN acts as a second level of security when performing transactions. It is necessary to be used in order to complete the transaction.

Hellenic Bank has also introduced the "Digipass" technology when performing transactions with large amounts, for even further security.

Digipass is a small portable device with Strong Authentication. At a touch of a button, it initiates a unique one-time password and in combination with the Authorisation PIN enables the User to perform fund transfers and payments with higher security.

It weights only 10 grams and can be carried on a key chain or simply in your pocket or purse.

Hellenic Bank will never ask you for your Security Password or Authorisation PIN over the telephone, in an electronic message, or in any written communication.

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions and Security Sections for details related to your Security duties with Hellenic Net Banking Service.
