How can I protect my personal information when Banking online?
Even though Hellenic Bank takes numerous steps to secure your financial
and personal information on-line, it is important that you do the same
and it is your responsibility to safeguard your login information and
prevent the access of any unauthorised person to your accounts through
your or any other computer. We strongly suggest that you always have in
mind the following:
When subscribing to our Service, you are provided with a Business ID,
Subscriber ID, Security Password and Authorization PIN number to authenticate
your identity when beginning Banking on-line. We strongly advice that
you never write down but memorise this information, never use information
that is known and can be guessed by other people and never reveal it to
anyone. Also ensure that the "memorise password" function or
"auto-complete" option in your Internet Browser is disabled.
It is important and for security reasons, to change both your Security
Password and Authorisation PIN regularly. You can easily make these changes
at the beginning and at any time during your Net Banking session.
It's important that you remember to sign off properly at the end of every
session. If you are not using your personal computer, we recommend that
you disable the "memorise password" function or "auto-complete"
option in the Internet Explorer Browser prior accessing our Service and
then completely close down the Internet Explorer Browser at the end of
your session.
Utilisation of the built-in security features that Internet Explorer
Browsers provides is recommended for extra Security.
Hellenic Bank however, undertakes to cover any losses incurred by the
Account Holder as a result of Internet fraud as described in our 'Security
Disclaimer' section.
Please note that Hellenic Bank will never ask you for your Security Password
or Authorization PIN over the telephone, in an electronic message, or
in any written communication.
