With Net Banking, you can have access to your accounts on-line, real-time, twenty four hours a day, for better fund management and efficient running of your business.

Viewing, printing or downloading Account Statements and balances, Fund transfers worldwide, creation of Standing Orders and Alerts are some of the options available through Net Banking.

Flexible setting up of your subscription with Net Banking enables you to control the number of Users and select the type and number of accounts to view as well as the access level of each User you wish to have access to your Company's accounts.

  :: Are there any restrictions in the use of Hellenic Net Banking Service?

Hellenic Net Banking Service is the property of Hellenic Bank Cyprus and is offered only to the Bank's customers under the Terms, Conditions and Regulations of the Bank. It is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from all over the world, wherever access to the Internet is available.

Hellenic Bank reserves the right to deny access to any person that at the Bank’s discretion is not qualified to use this Service.

  :: What is the difference between our TelebankII System and Hellenic Net Banking?

TelebankII System is an off-line electronic Banking System that is accessible through the installation of software on your personal computer. Information is exchanged between you and the Bank through a direct dial up connection and there are limited Banking activities to perform.

Hellenic Net Banking offers a wider range of Banking activities to perform, it is an on-line real time System and can be accessed through the Internet from the Bank’s Web page and with no installation of software on your computer.

  :: Can Hellenic Net Banking be accessed through a Firewall?

Usually there is no interference with any Firewall or Antivirus software as it is Browser based. On the other hand, is up to the Administrator of your network to decide the level of security to introduce for the safety of your software and computer and in the case of problems connecting to our System through your Network, the Administrator should be informed

The desired information can easily be downloaded and saved on your computer for printing purposes or future reference and in different formats for your convenience and better monitoring of your finacial activities.

Hellenic Bank however, bears no liability for any financial management software used by our customers in connection with Hellenic Net Banking Service.

:: Are there any restrictions in the use of the financial transactions through Net Banking?

According to the Terms and Conditions of use of Net Banking, Hellenic Bank reserves the right to reject any request for any type of Transfer or Service, that at the Bank’s discretion is against the general Rules and Regulations of the Bank.

Hellenic Bank also reserves the right to select at the Bank’s discretion which payment(s) or transfer(s) is/are to be or not to be processed regardless the availability of funds of the account(s) to be debited but is not obliged however to do so on any occasion.

The Bank will inform you for any request processed or not processed, through specific options of the System and through the Bank Mail.

Please also note that the request for financial transactions or services through Net Banking is your own responsibility therefore the requests should be placed with care.

:: What are the Browser requirements and settings for accessing Net Banking?

Hellenic Net Banking Service supports both Windows and Macintosh operating Systems. For maximum results in the speed of downloading data and maximum quality in the viewing of the information we suggest you to follow the requirements shown below.

Please note that difficulties may be experienced if using previous to our suggested versions of browsers or new versions that have not yet been tested to ensure compatibility with our Service.

Hellenic Bank reserves the right to prevent access to this Service through certain Browsers for security reasons.

Queries related to the general use and settings of a computer's operating system or technical queries relating to your Internet or Network connection is not the responsibility of Hellenic Bank Service Line and if this is the case, a professional or the administrator of your Network should be informed.

:: How can I apply for this Service and how much does it cost?

Application forms for subscription to Net Banking are available online, at www.hellenicnetbanking.com or at any Hellenic Bank Branch in Cyprus, Greece or our Representative Offices in Russia, South Africa and UK

When the agreement and set of passwords for the use of Net Banking are prepared, you can either collect them personally from any Branch or Representative Office of Hellenic Bank or can be sent via ordinary mail or Courier Service. Your subscription to Net Banking in this case and for security reasons, will only be activated when the Bank receives back the necessary acknowledgements and verifies that you have received both your Subscriber ID and PIN Mailer.

Our Hellenic Net Banking Service is currently offered free of charge to all Hellenic Bank customers. There are special charges however for the use of financial transactions or special Services within the System. A list of these charges is available for your reference within the System.

:: How can I protect my personal information when Banking online?

Even though Hellenic Bank takes numerous steps to secure your financial and personal information on-line, it is important that you do the same and it is your responsibility to safeguard your login information and prevent the access of any unauthorised person to your accounts through your or any other computer. We strongly suggest that you always have in mind the following:

When subscribing to our Service, you are provided with a Business ID, Subscriber ID, Security Password and Authorization PIN number to authenticate your identity when beginning Banking on-line. We strongly advice that you never write down but memorise this information, never use information that is known and can be guessed by other people and never reveal it to anyone. Also ensure that the "memorise password" function or "auto-complete" option in your Internet Browser is disabled.

It is important and for security reasons, to change both your Security Password and Authorisation PIN regularly. You can easily make these changes at the beginning and at any time during your Net Banking session.

It's important that you remember to sign off properly at the end of every session. If you are not using your personal computer, we recommend that you disable the "memorise password" function or "auto-complete" option in the Internet Explorer Browser prior accessing our Service and then completely close down the Internet Explorer Browser at the end of your session.

Utilisation of the built-in security features that Internet Explorer Browsers provides is recommended for extra Security.

Hellenic Bank however, undertakes to cover any losses incurred by the Account Holder as a result of Internet fraud as described in our 'Security Disclaimer' section.

Please note that Hellenic Bank will never ask you for your Security Password or Authorization PIN over the telephone, in an electronic message, or in any written communication.

::What should I do in the case of lost/forgotten or stolen passwords?

We strongly advice you to follow all our security procedures and take all necessary measures for the safeguard of your Login information. In the case however that you lose, forget or feel that any of your passwords has been revealed or stolen, Hellenic Bank Service Line should be informed immediately to block the access to your accounts.

Hellenic Bank in this case, bears no responsibility if you fail to report the incident immediately. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for details related to your security duties to Hellenic Net Banking Service.

::Can I use the 'Back' and 'Forward' commands of my Internet Explorer Browser?

Net Banking is a system based on transactions. It tracks the current page and concludes specific transactions when User returns to the main menu. The Internet Explorer Browser's BACK and FORWARD navigation commands should be avoided, as it is not safe and might create error in certain areas. Please use the navigation buttons provided within the Net Banking tables.

::Why System halts after some time of inactivity or denies access?

To ensure the confidentiality of your personal and financial information, timed log-out is imported after some minutes of inactivity as a standard security feature of our System . In this case, you have to login again.

System locks automatically after a number of unsuccessful attempts to login, as another standard security feature to protect you against unauthorised access. In the case of erroneously locked out, our Hellenic Bank Service Line should be informed to unlock your ID while in other case, other measures have to be followed as explained in other chapters in this guide and Hellenic Bank Service Line should be informed immediately to block the access to your accounts.
